NANCY PELOSI IS A SMELLY OLD TWAT.

Normally I think Fineman is a bit of a dick but I seem to agree with him on some points here:

IF Speaker-to-be Pelosi is going to succeed as Speaker of the House, she had better learn—fast—from the fiasco known as the Hoyer-Murtha Race. She violated every conceivable rule of Boss-like behavior: she lost, she lost publicly, she lost after issuing useless and unenforceable threats to people she barely had met, knowing (or having reason to know) that they would tell the world about her unsuccessful arm-twisting. And she lost big: by 149 to 86 votes.

Pathetic, as in pathetic as only a wingnut could be. The Democrats have a reasonable debate about leadership, you claim it as some kind of major loss. If half of the republican senators are involved in a scandal with Abramoff, wingnuts claim it as some kind of victory. Wottamaroon.

To our second anonymous commenter:

No one doubts that there are leadership problems in BOTH parties. What you don't understand is that Nancy Pelosi, after six years of bitter complaining about Republican corruption, has used very strong language and in no uncertain terms, that she plans to run an "ethical" Congress. Then right out of the gate she supports two members with shady backgrounds full of corrupt activities for committee chairmanships. What part of that don't you understand?

Your other statement about the "wingnut's" claim of victory in regards to Abramoff is ridiculous.

The Democrats have a reasonable debate about leadership...

The vote results indicate it wasn't much of a "debate".
